The Economist on Copyright

The Economist has published a very interesting article on the Grokster decision, and makes a number of observations on the state of copyright protection in this country. Given that over the last century the term of a copyright has (thanks to the Mouse) been increased from 28 to (in some cases) 95 years, the Economist suggests some improvements. One idea is to roll back the term of copyright protection to 14 years, renewable once. Worth thinking about.
