More Fed funds for electric car makers...

Fisker Automotive has announced a $528 million "conditional loan" by the US Department of Energy for the development of two vehicles...more than was received by Tesla. This will put the heat on both companies to become capable of producing significant numbers of vehicles. Given that neither has any serious competition in the plug in marketplace, there should be plenty of room in town for both companies to succeed...although Fisker will build it's manufacturing plant in Pontiac, Michigan while Tesla has not yet confirmed where it's manufacturing facility will be located other than to say it will be in California. More details here.
