HP spys on its own Board...the HP Way!

HP has now admitted to hiring private investigators to spy on members of its board of directors. This all done at the behest of Chairman Patricia Dunn and with the consent of company counsel. The amazing element is that board members' private phone records were obtained illegally through the practice known as "pretexting", and then reviewed with Dunn and others inside HP.

California Attorney General Bill Lockyer is quoted as saying "I have no settled view as to whether or not the chairwoman's acts were illegal, but I do think they were colossally stupid. We'll have to wait until the investigation concludes to determine whether they were felony stupid or not.''

As Forrest Gump put it, "Stupid is as stupid does."

what's the difference between colossally stupid and felony stupid? On a scale of stupidity, I mean.
